Vincent Jacob creates music that is home-sung and hand-written. Inspired by artists such as Sleeping at Last, Nick Drake and an early Bon Iver, Vincent places honest, introspective songwriting within an acoustic, instrumental soundscape. Stripped down to the basics, his songs create a space to think about uncertainty, friendship, loss and old memories.

Where we will Be (2021), his debut EP, was born in a bedroom, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Vincent recorded everything himself, working together with a sound engineer and musicians from a distance. The result is a pure, earnest and hopeful record. The EP contains a diverse range of songs, from the uplifting finger style melodies on ‘Leave a Light On’ to the solemn and spacious string sections of ‘Fading’, all brought together by Vincent’s warm and rich vocals. A recurring theme throughout the EP is a feeling of belonging and hope, even in times of uncertainty. ‘Where we will be’ It is a simple reminder that even when we lose perspective, we are not alone.
